Earlier this month I had the great pleasure of doing some mental squealing harmonics at the end of the fabulous A SWEET NICHE's set. They launched their new album, EYE MUSIC II, at the Miller in London Bridge and completely rocked it. The night sold out completely. A Sweet Niche are the way forward!

SADH Tour
I am now back from an exhausting but completely fun tour with Knifeworld. We played 7 UK shows with Trojan Horse and The Fierce & The Dead.
Over the course of the tour, we created a vlog each day for Prog Mag. Van 2 created most of the content but, due to breakdowns etc, we sent some content over from Van 1 via iPhone.
Here they all are in order:
DAY 1 - BRISTOL
DAY 2 - CARDIFF
DAY 3 - MANCHESTER
DAY 4 - LEEDS
DAY 5 - GLASGOW
DAY 6 - NORWICH
DAY 7 - LONDON

Valve album recording update
Charlie Cawood came to valve HQ to put down some beautiful saz on one of the tracks this week. We will be doubling this on oud later. The track in question is growing by the day and promises to be pretty epic! Also featured on this track are Kavus Torabi on guitar and Ivan Hussey on 'cello.

Knifeworld summer gigs
We've had a busy summer and the autumn is set to be even busier.
The Bristol show with Anta at The Cube was great- such an amazing venue. We also played in Croydon and Kingston as part of the summer action but the highlight was certainly Malcfest in Kent. A very small independent festival in a field and pub garden, totally free and rammed with spectacular bands. It was an honour to play there.

Our final summer date is Summers End festival in the Forest of Dean on Saturday 29th September. After that, we are in rehearsals for our tour at the end of October.

Off Festival
Chrome Hoof will be playing OFF FESTIVAL on Aug 5th - it's an awesome lineup this year. In addition to our set, we will be performing a live score to Andrzej Kondratiuk’s Hydrozagadka.

Off say:
"Chrome Hoof - "Hydrozagadka" (GB)
We’ve finished this year’s new and improved edition of OFF Club (featuring Barn Owl, A Hawk And A Hacksaw, and Tim Hecker performing the music to films by Wilhelm Sasnal, Sergei Parajanov, and Werner Herzog), and we’re transplanting the idea into the OFF Festival! This time we’ve got something truly powerful in store for you: Andrzej Kondratiuk’s Hydrozagadka — featuring Ace, Poland’s first superhero, on the trail of Doctor Spot and other evil villains — will be screened with a new soundtrack arranged and performed by the UK’s Chrome Hoof. So what should you be expecting? Everything, really! Founded by the bassist of Cathedral, this orchestra combines funk, disco, metal, and jazz into a unique and colorful variety of futuresque music."
Really looking forward to it - and I'm determined to make it to as much of Connan Mockasin, Kim Gordon, Battles and Swans as possible! Shame about missing Iggy Pop & The Stooges who are playing the previous night.
